eKamria completed a refresh of the East Woods Skate Plaza website in time for the Grand Opening celebration taking place this Saturday, June 21, 2104.

This is an impressive and exciting project for the Eastwood and Syracuse community, spearheaded by the Eastwood Neighborhood Association's Skate Park Research Committee.  This group has actively worked to make this a reality for almost ten years, with the earliest seeds being planted almost 30 years ago.  

The committee had involvement from young skateboarders (some who grew into adults over the course of the project), community groups and the City of Syracuse.

Visit the East Woods Skate Plaza website to learn about this new asset in the community.  And, consider attending the Grand Opening celebration, which starts at 11 am.  Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner will declare the plaza open, there will be music, food and a skateboard competition.
