PROUDLY SERVING OUR CLIENTS FOR 13 YEARS!
Working with AFICA's owner has been an interesting and rewarding experience. She approached eKamria about providing a new website for her evolving business of skin and hair care products. Her earlier website was more focused on her salon and the services provided there. Her business model was moving toward manufacturing and selling her products without a storefront.
It took a number of years for her to get to the point she was ready to launch her website -- and we waited with her -- meeting periodically for updates on her progress. Her attention to detail and planning has always been impressive.
When she had her first product line ready, we began building her Joomla! Content Management System website and had it ready by her Grand Opening celebration.
In 2022, Aficapure moved to Square for integration with her in-store cash register system.

Linda Gilmore, owner of Balanced Life Hypnosis, was looking for a more modern website with additional features and the ability to expand as the need arised. She wanted a private login area for her clients, and the ability to update and add content on her own.
eKamria provided a solution using the Joomla! Content Management System.
I am more than happy that I chose to hire Anne/eKamria to update my website and make it current. The same day Anne turned the new site on, people were already filling out the new contact form! The site looks great and I'm getting more incoming calls than before. Anne is a pleasure to work with. I always felt good about hiring her for this important job. Anne is knowledgeable, conscientious, thorough and patient. I definitely recommend Anne and eKamria. Check out my wonderful website: BalancedLifeHypnosis.com!

I've been working with technology for a long time. The one thing that you can always count on is change—it's inevitable. Usually, the changes are good, sometimes they aren't, but you just have to keep moving with them anyway.
Many years ago, you never wanted to be the first to implement a new change or update. You could count on a lot of bugs and problems. It was much better to let others work through those and apply the update once issues were ironed out. It was even advisable not to upgrade until the NEXT latest and greatest was ready to be released. That was before all our systems were connected to the Internet and introduced security concerns.
A client referred me to Dr. Regalla. She was planning to retire, but wanted to continue to offer Metagenics supplements to her patients at the generous discount she offered them.
This project of the Eastwood Neighborhood Association (ENA) was a new site to promote their annual run. It was created using the Joomla! Content Management System.
Website features include:
East Woods Skate Plaza and Eastwood Neighborhood Association websites are also under our care.
Magnolia Ariza-Nieto, Ph.D., Founder and CEO of epiWELL, LLC was referred to us through the SBDC Coronavirus Small Business Financial Assistance Program. Dr. Ariza-Nieto, a coach for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP) was developing a website for her PreventT2 program using a DIY platform but was running into problems. After our initial consultation, Dr. Ariza-Nieto decided to hire eKamria to develop her site using Joomla.
The original plan was to create a basic site, using the materials available to her from the CDC. However, Dr. Ariza-Nieto is a Molecular Biologist and Geneticist and performs scientific research. She decided she would like the website to reflect this work also, for when she might apply for research grants, and be positioned to expand the website in either discipline.
Anthony Hinds-Fritz, Founder and Owner of Evolution Retirement Solutions, LLC contacted us to provide a new website for his business.
We worked with a person on his staff who provided content and imagery to deliver this Joomla Content Management System site.

Bill Francis, Owner of Francis Audio-Visual, approached us in 2022 to build a new website for his business. He had a WordPress website in the past, and his most recent one was built with Versoly.
After much discussion, Bill agreed to have the site developed in Joomla. It was not a platform he was aware of, so that caused some hesitancy.
Francis Audio-Visual offers a wide range of services in the Central New York region. Bill's desire was to have detailed information about all his services, to help customers understand what's available, what kind of equipment/packages he can provide, and to answer many common questions. That way, the first discussions can be more productive, and move faster to solving the customer's need or problem.
Prior issues you ask? Yes, bad experience with last web producer. We won’t name names because he was and is a great guy. And he’s very good at his craft. In fact too techy. What was lacking was good communication skills.
Failure to return phone calls, texts and emails multiple times was a dealbreaker. In fact, unless you have tens of thousands of dollars to spend on a website, not many people want to talk to you I found.
Anne on the other hand was the total opposite. I wanted more than just a digital brochure which almost everyone seems to have these days. I wanted well thought out pages and I am very hands-on. Anne answered all my questions, and we discussed any issues and always went with the solutions that had the most merit. Great communicator.
Another hesitation I had was, regarding the website platform, I have always been pro Word Press. Anne is not, she works primarily in Joomla. In the end largely because she does communicate so well, I was convinced it doesn’t matter what the platform because I won’t need to personally make changes. Anne is right there for that. Again, good communicator!
Other than that, all I can say is, great job. Anne works for a fair price, is not only creative and at the same time technical but also a good business person, which is what you get from someone who has lots of experience….. and patience!

Jeff Gribble of Oakleaf Strategy Group invited us to design the website for a company they were rebranding. The company, previously known as Tri-County, was founded in the 1980s, but had never had a website.
This project included both a new website using the Joomla! Content Management System and social media setup and management.
As a small business owner who has worked with many support businesses and vendors over the years, working with eKamria has truly been a breath of fresh air. The level of professionalism, competence, and honesty has surpassed our expectations, and is all too rare in today’s business world. Our website creation and social media implementation has gone smoothly and the results have earned us rave reviews. Working with Anne and others with eKamria has been a true partnership for our business, and one that I recommend to any who are hoping to avail themselves of what they offer. Thanks, Anne, for all your help in making our business better!
Itty & Bitty is a children's book series about two minature horses named Itty and Bitty. Itty and Bitty are real minis that live in Texas and have inspired author Nancy K. Carpenter to write children's poems to educate young children about poetry, literacy and even history.
We began discussions with Nancy after her original web designer left the area and she indicated her desire to work with someone locally. As her needs were explored, she expressed her desire for features aimed at children that weren't (or couldn't be) accommodated on her Weebly-built website.
Her new website was designed using the Joomla! Content Management system.
Anne Notarthomas took my ho-hum website and redesigned it into exactly what I had envisioned--a fun, kid-friendly, and easily navigated site. Her love of what she does comes through in the extra care and creative touches that she brings to her work, and her easy going manner puts me at ease when she's showing me a "how-to" or suggesting a new twist on a project. We laugh a lot when working together. I wanted a one-on-one relationship since I am a hands-on learner, and in Anne, I found just that--and more. She is a patient and gifted teacher. I ought to know, I am a teacher myself, but of the generation that did not grow up with the internet or computers, so I am a dinosaur in that regard. She has taken my site and made it sing. I would recommend Anne to anyone who wanted first rate knowledge, talent, and an extraordinary work ethic.
Yes, Michael is my brother! He decided to go for his dream of being a full-time musician in Austin, TX in 2021. I offered to help get him off the ground while I used his site to learn some new tools and techniques. His was the first Joomla4 site I developed and there are a number of plugins that were "firsts" on this site.
The initial purpose of the site was to keep his performance dates available. He also wanted to keep past performances on the site. The process developed makes it very easy to add new dates and switch them "off" the upcoming page and onto the "past" page. The next five upcoming performances automatically publish on the home page.
Another feature added is a searchable list of music he can play at events. It can be searched and sorted by artist, song title, or genre.
Recently, an integrated email marketing plugin was added. This was also a "first". A custom email template was added that is extremely easy to send out an email of upcoming dates. Because it's integrated right into the Joomla website, the template just needs to be selected and it automatically populates with the current upcoming dates and locations. These emails can be created and sent in minutes.

Nader Maroun approached eKamria initially with a need for a website for his re-election campaign for Syracuse City Common Councilor. He needed a short turnaround time because his first fundraiser was right around the corner and he wanted to accept RSVPs for the event and donations from the website.
With that deadline met, and his election won, it was easy to transform the Joomla! Content Management website to a general information site for his City Council work.
The campaign used the branding and concepts designed by eKamria for the website for its print materials.
What started as a basic idea to get the word out about who I am as a City Councilor, my involvement in the community and to publicize upcoming events evolved into a sophisticated website incorporating graphics and text beyond my expectations. Anne asked great questions, carefully listened and captured the essence of who I am. She understood my ideas and creatively organized content that expresses my meaning and message through words and images. Thanks Anne for the great job!
Sheila Ostrohm, Owner of Senior Home Care and Alzheimer's Solutions, first took advantage of our Digital Review offer. After we delivered the review, she engaged us to make the enhancements we outlined on her site.
At that time, her site was a WordPress.com site (hosted by WordPress and more like a WIX or Squarespace page builder site, with limited capabilities). It soon became apparent that it would be better to create a site on another platform to appropriately represented her business, allow a more sophisticated presentation, and provide an easier tool for her staff to make updates.
Additionally, she had added the Alzheimer's services later and was struggling with two logos and two names. As part of our work, it helped lead her to a new name and logo that reflected her whole organization.
eKamria provided a solution using the Joomla! Content Management System.
We have provided some print promotional materials.
eKamria had a special holiday offer to provide a digital review of my website for $100. I'm uneasy working with anyone when it comes to website design because it's not an area I'm knowledgeable in. Anne's professionalism and the information I received in the report was invaluable, so I decided to hire her to redo our website. Since then, we have seen increased traffic to our website and better messaging. An added benefit - we asked Anne to rework several of our print advertising pieces, and the results are fabulous! Anne is very detail-oriented and creative. During the project process, she will work with you on any and all changes, and is willing to provide suggestions and options. I have and will continue to recommend Anne to others.

Sustainable Syracuse (formerly SUN Group of CNY - Sustainable Upstate Network) is an organization of local business people that work in companies that promote sustainability initiatives. A long-standing organization, it had a website that was developed in the earlier days of websites and was in need of a modern overhaul. We used the Joomla! Content Management System to design their new website.
A few years later, they renamed the organization from SUN. We handled the changes to the new domain.
Sara Wall-Bollinger needed a website for her new business, SWB Consulting Services. The business did not have a logo or branding.
eKamria provided the logo and business card designs.
Anne contributed creative ideas and was very attentive to my feedback.
This project was a first-time website for their business. A big challenge of this project was finding an easy way for the client to add upcoming events to the site, which include hundreds of photographs per event. They also needed an easy way to move all this information to their past event listings. Using a combination of the easy data management that is a part of Joomla! and linking with the client's Facebook albums, the client was quickly up and running.
After having a successful experience launching the Tryall Fund website, I hired eKamria again to develop a website for my new business venture. What was intended to be just a “starter” website quickly turned into a much more extensive project. Anne worked with us, carefully listening to understand our needs and found ways to make it easy for us to keep our events updated, yet allow us to showcase our most important results. I was able to start updating the “upcoming events” area on the site immediately after the launch—with minimal handholding, thanks to the complete, step-by-step manual that was provided. eKamria has been very professional and responsive. I would definitely recommend Anne and eKamria if you are looking to update your site…she’s a pleasure to work with and is totally committed to getting it right!

Terry Horst's first contact with us was to perform our Digital Review on the Maxian & Horst Landscape Architects and Landplanners website. At that time, they were midway through a website transition to a new WordPress site. The new site was not being professionally developed.
Our review took into account both the old website and the site that was in progress and as a result of that review, Maxian & Horst contracted with us to develop a new site using the Joomla Content Management System.
During the course of the development, Terry Horst acquired the firm and rebranded to Terry Horst Landscape Architecture, PC. We worked with them and the the branding company they selected to switch again to the new name and branding.
I purchased the Digital review special package from Ekamria in January of this year. I have always struggled with how to get our website organized and the digital review Anne prepared was thorough and easy to understand. I now have a road map to implement our Web presence.

Tri-Delta Resource's first website used a primitive content management system. Integration with their Citrix portal was not clean, and various parts of the website either didn't work, or didn't look like they were part of the same site. This project also included setup of social media sites.
Veterans Health Research Institute (formerly Central New York Research Corporation) manages the medical research initiatives for Veterans at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. They have been in existence for many years, but never had their own website. Their online presence consisted of a page on the VA website.
The main goals of this project, besides having a modern online presence, were to provide a mechanism for online fundraising and an Intranet for the Principal Investigators, Board of Directors and employees to access documentation related to their roles. A new website using the Joomla! Content Management System was able to meet the requirements, and provide plenty of flexibility for growth and enhancements for the future.
Amy Doyle, Owner of White Stone Wellness, had eKamria on her radar for her website since 2017, when we had our first meeting to discuss her needs. Many times over the years, she indicated she still planned to work with us, even though she had a WordPress website, and later, a Kajabi site.
In 2022, she decided it was time, and we developed a Joomla website for her. All content from her Kajabi site was moved over and reconfigured.
Soon after the website was complete, she talked with us about her desire to implement an email marketing program and the need for landing pages. Joomla is capable of providing both an integrated email system and custom landing pages without the need to integrate and purchase additional third-party software. This is also helpful because it keeps the content on her site and generates more traffic to her site -- something that Google likes.
